AF201 and dash, (HF Radio, UHF Radio set on Ch 6, Siren/Lights control box)
AF696 K9 wagon, George is our local K9 Officer, he was telling me that he has a control lever in the front so that Max (the dog) can jump out with him in the front instead of opening the rear door. Max is an 8 yr old German Shepard and will have a partner by the end of the year. He is trained to bite the arm of an offender but tends to go for legs more. Max has no superannuation plan.

Seems a strange callsign for a K9 vehicle. The "Alpha" prefix suggests its a traffic car. Could this vehicle be a "multi-purpose car"? Does that mean the officer is a dog handler and a traffic officer ? Does anyone know ? Just wondering.
Apparently Bunbury also has a K9 unit, anyone know their callsign ?

"Alpha" does not designate a traffic callsign. With the exception of specialist portfolios "2" designates traffic. The "A" shows that it is a district resource with the second letter showing what district it belongs to. The Bunbury callsign was AR696....so you can see F = Mid West Gascoyne, R= South West, J= South East Metro etc....District office vehicles also carry the "A" in front
