amazing photos!

one thing i noticed, whats with the Perth trucks being plugged into the mains electricity? do they actually have to charge the batteries that way (and if thats the case, probably a silly question but do all fire vehicles have to do that??)

They run off a vehicle charger. All fire appliances generally have a charging point these days (all new builds certainly have them).

Don't want to be getting into a truck and finding a flat battery, do you? :)

With the 9.2, be interesting to know what the rear area is for.. possibly a collar tank setup?

Correct me if i am wrong but these old appliances are housed at the shed to the R.H.S , as you enter the forrestfield training academy

Cant see the pics but if im thinking of what you mention, I was told its a hydraulic lift to raise foam.

Your right on the money there fastlane. It is a hydraulic platform for the colar tank.
