No this is not a hoax. I have read in my local paper today that the operaters of Heletac Australia are looking for any photos and footage of the heletacs in action for training purposes. Those who send pictures or footage in hae a chance to win a joy flight in one of the heletacs. If you want details of where to send things either check your local paper or pm me for the info.

I doubt you'd get any of the ducking and diving they do when operational - wouldnt be allowed lower than 500ft I'd imagine. The Helitac's went offline over a week ago, so the aircraft would be used for charter work from now on.

Hi Fastlane,
There off to Queensland for their fire season. We still have the Air Intel (FLIR) and Air Attack choppers.

I've sent mine. Can anyone identify this helicopter? Air Observer perhaps? Certainly is a Bell Jet-Ranger or similar but has the BFS logo underneath.
