That LT 1QAH210 is ex Wangara as I have a pic of it with 'WANGARA' decals on it.

freo 1st has this hp and lt and i know freo second has ther heavy rescue pump series 4 scania...... saw it the other day. im pretty sure 2n must have a lt also but it wasnt wit the hp the other day

The light tankers are generally not pensioned off due to klms but age and condition. Alot of them once they have gained a reasonable amount of klms in the metro find themselves being given to the quiter vol brigades.

I know that some of the old ones are given a last fire season with the busier metro vol brigades such as rockingham and armadale.

BFS wise, replacement comes up every 5 years, regardless of km's. Heavy vehicles is 8 years (all under the ESL).

Must thank the person that come up with the magnetic name strips. Have spent heaps of time trying to find these out in the bush after falling off. They are however a good idea as it is a great way of identifying whos who when at multi station jobs.
