Couldn't help but notice the ash falling at the Academy open day last night, which got Wes all excited so we stopped off quickly on the way home.

Fire was at Lake Joondalup (although it had dried up).

Saw the new NX101 (BF mk11) but it was parked on the other side of the cordoned off area.

NX103 is a Mitsy Trition, so quite rare.

The amount of knobs that tried to drive over the hose was outrageous.

MP68 from Osborne Park

That was a different fire Chris (prior to the one @ the lake).

The fire @ Lake Joondalup is well inside the gazetted fire district - indication of how good the working relationship is.

I would concur with firefly.000

Joondalup would have been first call with Wangara and Wanneroo BFS. Quinns BFS was there and I guess Ozzie Park (and possibly Duncraig) would have backed them up. There were quite a few vehicles visible in the distance. Wanneroo has 3 LTs and a 3.4 as does Quinns, Joondalup a LT, MP and 2.4U, Wangara a MP and LT. There was at least Wanneroo Fire Support and a DM vehicle present. As it was dark we couldn't see much apart from the beacons.

I'm not sure how ComCen runs things but would Duncraig have been left to look after Joondalup's/Wangara's patch in case something else happened?
