Noticed in the above pics that all of the RFDS aircraft have registration callsigns of VH-*WO.
Are all RFDS aircraft nationally given the *WO registration? And do the letters WO have any significance??
If the RFDS have more than 26 aircraft is there another primary registration suffix?

My beleif was that the first initial meant where they were based I think....
KWO = Kalgoorlie
MWO = Meekathara
NWO = Newman/Pt Headland
Not sure if this is 100%, but im sure someone will correct me if im wrong...

Check out
the RFDSWA website. Details about the aircraft and all.
Oh, and WO stands for RFDS Western Operations. (See below from the model aircraft order form.)
Complete with stand each model features the markings of
the aircraft in service with
RFDS Western Operations. Each
model is packed in a souvenir box.
The Pilatus PC12 was selected in 2001 to replace an ageing
fleet of Cessna Conquest turboprop aircraft operating in
Western Australia.
Initially 4 were purchased: VH-MWO, VH-NWO, VH-VWO and
VH-KWO, with VH-ZWO also entering service in 2004 to
replace an older Beechcraft C90.
The sixth PC12, VH-YWO, joined the fleet in October 2006.
