English Police cars (Birmingham area)

Hi Gang,

Just got home from a month in England.

Was mainly living with family in Birmingham (West Midlands) but also saw quite a bit of the country.

I did take a few Police car shots which i'll upload here just for something different.

Please feel free to comment.

Volvo V70 2.5lt 'Rapid Response Vehicle'. Superb looking car.

Peugeot 306 'Panda car'. Most of these are diesel powered as are many of the Police cars in the UK.

Both of these are from the 'West Midlands Constabulary' as are most of the shots I took.

Will post a few more in the next few days. F1 is on soon and i'm knackered.

The F1 was rubbish Schumacher was taken out!!

At least the gap between him and Alonso is still 11 points and hasn't increased..

First 3 weeks back home there was a heat-wave going on last week it pissed down!

The following pics are taken out the front of Steelhouse Lane police station in Birmingham.

Peugeot transport van.

S40 Volvo. Awesome looking cars. Anyone with a keen eye check out the tread on the rear tyre...

1.7 turbo diesel Astra. These seem pretty popular around the UK with the Police forces.

Here's a late 2001 vintage Peugeot 307 diesel 'panda car'. The have reflective tape applied around the vehicle which can be clearly seen in these pics.

Also a rear shot taken at the City Hospital/Dudley road Hospital.

Hi Folks,

Some shots from Birmingham Airport where West Midlands Police have a new station.

The Mitsubishi Shogun (we call them Pajeros) has a similar light-bar to TE210.

Armoured Land Rover, CCTV van and a 2001 era Range Rover attached.

Also included is an Emirates B777-21H turning onto gate41 at BHX A6-EMF.

A Renault van 'Mobile police station'...pretty cool idea I reckon.
