Perth Airport Fire, Trucks & Helitaks

Post by Matt. »

Fire at the airport today , no real flames as it was hot and things started to get worse so I headed off for home, worked out after I left that if I stayed at the control vehicle all the trucks come to there, some other trucks I didn't get that where there but what I did get are not that special because I was on my zoom lens so sorry for that.

Nice shots... casual ARFF as always - tank tops, and a water cannon - what more could they possibly need

Thats not really fair , this photo represents one second in time , what you didnt see is that these guys just got back in the truck after fighting bush fires , no doubt his shirt was soaking wet and figured he would cool down better without it.

calm down matt. - I have alot of respect for the ARFF and the job they do. I was actually joking, however forgot to add the smiley - my bad.

Dunno about "no real flames"

I drove around to domestic airside around 1430 and i could see the flames from the 21 threshold end, and they looked scary
