Myself and Zebedee went for a look at the 03 mound today, seeing as they were using 03 for once. Photos Below.

Wait for that msg that 'tells' you to stop creating threads for only a couple of pictures..... Wait it will come!Everyone else makes a thread, so stuff it
BTW - nice shots, for once WAC has finally done something 'good' except for the needs for toilet facilities would have been an added bonus!
Re: Everyone else makes a thread, so stuff it
Oh bummer, I was there this morning around 1100 when I saw 03 in use! Certainly is a great spot, only got to see one take off the rest land, but got a good wave from the Virgin FO! All the kiddies were excited.
Seeing a Qantas 747 land up close was a sight, as was the tire smoke/smell!

Oh is that not allowed ? ( guilty is me)written_ficton wrote:Wait for that msg that 'tells' you to stop creating threads for only a couple of pictures..... Wait it will come!Everyone else makes a thread, so stuff it
I would have thought because the images are hosted off site it would not have mattered?

The only problem arises when new threads are added that contain a single image - it's often more efficient to group multiple images into a single thread where possible. In this case, there were a group of images around a common theme, taken at the same time, and no comparable thread existing. In which case - it makes sense to create a new one.

Helitak_670 your a lurker on these posts, care to enlighten us to what the Forward Command Vehicle is?
Re: Everyone else makes a thread, so stuff it
It's the airports version of a FESA ICV. They have had it for ages but got it done up and delivered back to them for CHOGM.written_ficton wrote:Helitak_670 your a lurker on these posts, care to enlighten us to what the Forward Command Vehicle is?

Re: Everyone else makes a thread, so stuff it
Basically it is like an ICV, but used by management of the airport, Police, fire etc. Realistically I think you would find Belmont ICV out there real quick. It is a very basic set up and they do a bi-annual exercise with the vehicle. It works for them so far, but I am sure that if something were to happen it would be a complete Cluster F^%$.
