The North has the taking off, landing and the hangers.
The South is closer to the course but more crouded
??
North, you see more variety wheres on the south you just see the race
I always thought you had a better view of the race on the South side. Last 3 years we've always gone the South, so perhaps next year we'll try North.
The F-18 was awesome. Thanks for sharing the photos of them, Matt!
Thanks for shareing the great pics, the north side was better yesterday,i was right at the east end of the strip both days, and today sunday, it didnt take long for foul mouthed and arogant people to go stand in front of you, politely as you may ask them to either sit down or move back as many have been there since early, you were told where to go, or totally ignored. jj

I was there today. Outstanding day, good pub transport, not too many people, alcohol free so hardly saw any trouble. Police were there in huge numbers and yeah it was a very enjoyable day for a change.
Funny what an enjoyable an event can be without every wit getting drunk and abusive. No alcohol is definitely the way to go especially with the Australian mentality.

Anything I say is my opinion, and has nothing to do with/does not reflect the views of anyone I was/am/will be involved with/employed by/volunteer for/associated with. There, I think that should cover it!
Ill leave you all with these last 2 for now , Ill post a link to the gallery when I get back to Brisbane and get around to making it , as you can imagine I have a ''few'' images, from my point of view I found the South Side the best for planes and alike , far closer to the action. Crowd was well behaved looking forward to 2010!
Great shots from all! Thanks for sharing folks, it's the people like yourselves that spend an event behind the lens that let those stuck in a classroom for both days see the good bits all up close
