Visability in relation to what? Being seen or being able to see? I and others only hope they get rolled out - but then again it's not like WAPOL to provide equipment/systems that coppers actually want/need!!!

Probably "being able to see". Reversing out of parking bays and driveways. I have the same problem with a TradeMate on the back.

if we are not meant to comment on the pics then maybe disable comments.I don't know why its not ok for people to comment on whether they think its ugly or not, maybe just censorship.
BTW - QLD Police tried these units about before and everyone hated them! Try and get an unruly occupant in the back of that may cause some issues as what was experianced with QLD Police.
WT300 is a vicpol vehicle it has just been reregistered, remarked and fitted with WAPOL equipment.... Getting some one in the rear of one of these will be no harder or easier than a Hilux/Falcon ute/Colorado or a secure sedan back in the day....
It's probably one of the easier secure vehicles to get someone into. It's nice and low so you do not have to lift them up as high.
It also has an anti kick mechanism where if the prisoner kicks the door back at police the door locks after about 5cm of movement. Kind of like how a seat belt works in a crash.
The only problem is this thing is a class two. With some suspension and brake mods could be made into a class one like the k9 vehicles.
