An answer in two parts;
Firstly, all of the helicopters were stood down from operations (end of contract) as of April 14th.
Secondly, the Carson helicopters have not been contracted with FESA for the last 2 fire seasons.

VIH and Couger where here this year
Id like to point out that Carson is not a type of helicopter, but a company that operates them
The helicopters are Sikorsky S61 Sea Kings
Carson Helicopters
VIH << Also includes Cougar Helicopters

for what i hear about a month before the same 767 was about to come over to Perth. one went down in Canada or America. so they grounded all of those types.offroada99 wrote:does anyone know what happened to the carsons? are they out of service now or are they just never there when i'm there
instead they send over the two Type 1's that we had this year.
i am only going on what i have been told
