All depends, if your blocking the road with the lights flashing car facing the front. "Road Closed" beats having the vehicle parked facing the wrong way?yorky wrote:Wouldn't having the message board on the back be a little more common sense though?

Re: Ranger vehicles
Maybe they just mounted them back to front? I personally always try to park facing the correct way when having to block traffic etc. Creates less problems when you depart having to travel contra to the traffic flow, saves doing 50 point turns etc.

Re: Ranger vehicles
Exactly, and if you face the correct way even with lights flashing you would have one car always awaiting to get through. Facing the traffic you get the picture!SJANT wrote:Maybe they just mounted them back to front? These look like security and not ranger vehicles (a la Cockburn as discussed previously).written_ficton wrote:Here are the BF Falcon'sMug wrote:I've noticed that Canning are rolling out the Ford Rangers in favour of the BF/BA Falcon ute with canopy.
Ranger driving a Ranger.
I wonder what would they use the LED scroller for?
I don't think I have ever seen any of these with lights activated. I guess not a great deal of P1s ?
Lightbar more for show rather than go?

Re: Ranger vehicles
Whilst they do look like that from a naked eye, each officer has the same powers under the same local laws of the Rangers. Don't forget these guys are 24hr service and such most Ranger jobs occur during the day with security issues in the evening.LighteningCrashes wrote:

Oh ok so they are council officers not rangers. I was curious about these pictures being posted here as you had a go at jmmw about posting non ranger vehicles in this thread earlier.
Re: Ranger vehicles
No they are Rangers, City of Canning from my understanding have a couple Rangers who do investigations etc and "Patrol Officers" who are Rangers out on the road. They simply work 24/7 as appose to other Rangers that predominatly work day/afternoon shifts.

Re: Ranger vehicles
The last pictures are actually the Alice Springs Night Patrol.
Night Patrol drive around and pick up drunks and either take the home or to a sobering up shelter in Alice Springs.

I thought they were now a city? (As opposed to a town)

Re: Ranger vehicles
Not that I am aware, as I understand to reach 'City' status you need to have X amount of people living within the boundaries as well as others.
You still you:
- Town of Vic Park
- Town of Nedlands
- Town of Claremont
- Town of Cottlesloe
- Town of East Fremantle
- Town of Cambridge
There are others that I have not named.
