Agree with fastlane, absolute stupid place to put one...

This is the first I've seen mounted there - must be very rare

its actually the antenna for the in vehicle mobile phone.if ur referring to the black one, the little silver one is for the portables so u can use them as base radios in the event of needing two radios, ie sector commander or ground controller, very handy.

our antennas for our portables are mounted right up near the windscreen on the bonnet.
unusual place for this one yes but does the job i guess.

yes, i was talking about the only strangley mounted VHF Antenna on the vehicle.
Looks like the work expirience kid got hold of the antennas and mounting brackets....... LOL.
