Doubt it. Army ones are green Mitsubishi Canter's with a white circle and the red cross. The beacons are also covered over the top for operations at night time etc.RubberDucky wrote:I take it this is a military ambulance?

There's a lot more to the defence force than just the army.Tyranus wrote:Doubt it. Army ones are green Mitsubishi Canter's with a white circle and the red cross. The beacons are also covered over the top for operations at night time etc.RubberDucky wrote:I take it this is a military ambulance?

I realise that, but I should think the navy and airforce would be similar. During peace time they probably call in SJA or whoever else provides ambulance services for that state/territory. I'm happy to be proven wrong however if this is from the ADF. It's just my guess that it isn't.

Come to think of it, I think I've confused vehicles unless they do have a couple of Canter's done up for large operations etc.Steve wrote:I saw some SJA-style Merc Sprinters - painted 'army green' - at Pearce airbase a few weeks ago.

Tyranus: Your still right, they do have canters i "think" they use them on tour overseas or on excersizes in Oz.
I think most of the van based vehicles are kept on bases but again i dont work for ADF so only guessing.

I was talking to medical staff at Pearce a couple of years ago at the air show and was looking in their Mercedes Ambulances. The highlight for me was the rack for the Steyer rifle. Should be standard kit on all Mercs I think....Steve wrote:I saw some SJA-style Merc Sprinters - painted 'army green' - at Pearce airbase a few weeks ago.
