Can anyone help with information about this beast? (ie make, model, year) It was at the Narembeen Shire depot (south east of Merredin) yesterday.

I dont know but it looks like it was retired many moons ago. Dam she's fugly.

Designed during the war as an answer to glass rationing by being made with small windows made from broken windows off the bigger city fire engines.

Theres a US Navy truck that was sold at an auction here in Gero a while back very similar, see if I can get a photo of it as its sitting on a vacant block not far from where I live.
