Sawyers Valley (BFS) Light Tanker 2
Darlington Light Tanker 1 (Wes, you might find this interesting. the vehicle is BFS white but with Fire & Rescue on the side, they recently removed the BFS logo and added that so im not sure whats going on there.)

ahh now Jas if you'd taken the pic from the other side you'd have taken the pic of me instead of the Lieutenant.
We're dual registered, and the signing on those doors are as old as the truck, notice the roof sprays? I believe our second light tanker has the BFS symbols but I'd have to check on Saturday, I'll try grab a picture of LT2. Might find that FESA contributed in part to the purchase of that truck, with Mundaring, rather than supply us with a Red one. Personally wouldn't mind having a bigger station with a couple of Red trucks in it, and doing some more advanced stuff.

Lol yeah i was gonna run over and say g'day but was flat out trying to organise stuff for our crossing. Are you sure, ill have to dig out my pics but im certain as of a couple of years ago that particular appliance had BFS roundels on the doors. Unfortunatley i dont like your chances of being upgraded anytime soon. espicially with Parky and Mount Hellena Urban equiped and Mundaring being VFRS. Plus you guys now share your old district with Midland.

Oh I don't think we'll get any big trucks, if we got a new station, we might be able to wangle a third light tanker, but that's about it.

Yep couldn't agree more but unfortunatley its the only type which Mercedes will continue to cover warranty when fitted due to airbag settings etcSchism_ wrote:Not a fan of those roo bars on sja mercs, personally prefer the bull bars
Well thats the word from workshop bosses anyway.

Yep thats because volunteer centres buy their vehicles and Head office have no say in what you put on them. No Merc's in the "workshop fleet" (which includes paramedic centres in the country) will ever have the alloy bars as they are not "approved" by Mercedes.Schism_ wrote:Lucky we have them already then
Also like the grab handle some places have put on the skirting between the windscreen and the passenger door to help people climb up. This actually stops the side airbag from deploying 100% successfully but yet I've seen them fitted

Yeah, I think for personnel safety, sja should step in and take control. I remember at one sub-centre I was at, we tried to order the 4WD landcruiser ambulance from paull-warner bodybuilders. HQ said we can order it, but they would have absolutely nothing to do with it, and would not insure it anything which put us off buying one.
