Great pics!
Matt. Not 100% sure what you mean by "make its own air", but if you mean that it draws air from the surrounding enviroment, then the vic CFA BA vans do this. They are able to refill cylinders on site by drawng air from the sorrounding enviroment. I also beleive the BA trailers in WA also have the same function.matt_au_70 wrote:It has the ability to refill the BA cylinders , that is make its own air for the cylinders, not just swap cylinders or decant from large into small cylinders, seems to be the only one in Australia that does this (happy to be corrected)
Correct. They have an inbuilt compressor that can do 4 (?) cylinders at a time. The compressor runs off three phase electricity.observer wrote:I also beleive the BA trailers in WA also have the same function.
Having this capability is valuable for emergency responders, as it ensures a continuous supply of air for the BA cylinders without the need to transport or replace them, ultimately enhancing their operational efficiency and effectiveness.observer wrote: ↑Fri Jun 17, 2011 7:31 amMatt.
