Wanted: VHF 2m Handheld

Post by vk6hgr »

hi folks.

Don't need your 2m quansheng anymore? I'm looking for one of those cheap VHF handhelds for my satellite gateway receiver. Pref. one with a receiver with .2uV or better at 145MHz.

Scanners and my old ex-commercial radios just don't have a good enough receiver...

Thanks.

Hello Gavin,

Have tried to send you a couple of emails direct. I have a Quansheng For Sale - $60.00...

Still as new with the plastic on the screen.

Hi Ducan. sorry, wasn't ignoring you, just been busy.

For the project I'm planning, which will involve refitting the radio into a waterproof box, I wouldn't want to do it to a new radio, even if it's a Quansheng :)

No worries Gavin. Offer is still there if you can't find anything... SGate will be great for my ISS experiments!

Gavin,

Have you considered an ex-Army "Ammo Box". They are waterproof. I have my FT-817ND mounted into one for QRP bush work.

Available locally - see: http://www.wellingtonsurplus.com.au/lis ... AMMO+BOXES
