Wanted - Digital scanner

Post by bigkev81 »

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a digital scanner that is capable of scanning the digital police frequencies in NSW.
If anyone has one lying around that they are willing to part with for some cash then pm me.
Cheers

I'm not that familar with how the NSW digital police radio system works, but if it's using any type of encryption then the chance of you finding a radio that will work is pretty much nil.

Several radios will claim to receive APCO25 digital signals, however from what I understand that's the un-encrypted signal only. As soon as an encrypted signal is received, it won't work.

I'd say you're out of luck ... sorry.

We have a Uniden UBCD996T digital scanner that DOESNT seem to be able to listen to the APCO25 like claimed.

Someone please prove me wrong!
