UHF CBers

G'day all,

Or should I say "Breaker!"

As you can tell by my sig I am a regular UHF CB user (don't hold that against me), usually sandbagging on Channel 3 (and very occasionally on 4) during morning and afternoon rush hour to keep an ear on traffic conditions etc. I tend to listen more than I talk (a rarity I know) but occasionally I'll contribute a wisecrack if I can get away with it.

Are there any other Channel 3ers (or 4ers) here? Has anyone thought of starting a WARSUG group on UHF?

Hmm... The silence is deafening. I'll take that as a no.

The last time I turned on my CB channel 8 and channel 4 were dead quiet.

Listened for an hour or so and hardly anything... this was about 7pm.

I can't get ch3 from where I live so I don't know how active it is..

Unfortunately every time I've ever turned a UHFCB onto one of the Perth repeater channels, I've turned it off again quickly. The language on there would make a sailor blush! :P

When I bought my first scanner ICOM IC-R6, turned it on and press 'SCAN', Channel 3 UHF CB is the
first frequency it picked up ... :smt084 ... It took me a while to figure out what that frequency is all about ... I heard someone playing music so I thought it was a narrowband broadcast station but then someone told them to f*** off and so on and on ... and left me thinking again :smt017
