Hi people i have been on the uniden scannner frequency search site and have found ones to connect to, can any cb radio receive these? Also once i am in the frequency range do i just scan channels to find?

The Uniden search is usually old and out of date.

What CB radio? You need a radio that has additional programmable receive only channels. Your normal run of the mill cheap CB does not do this.

My CB is a GME Tx3440, can this go to other frequencys?

Yes, you have 59 programmable receive only frequencies between 403-520 MHz only.

so its not possible to listen to this frequency - 76.5500 on my cb?

I live in Two Rocks/ 60k's north of perth, i cannot seem to pick anything up i have had everything properly installed.

Properly installed, I'm guessing this is on a vehicle?

What are you trying to pick up which frequencies have you tried?

i have tried ambulance and police, it is installed on a car my postcode is 6037 and trying to reach 6030

Police are digital, you will not hear them.

When i imput the frequency i only have 5 slots for the first 1 i inserted 45377 and second 46327 is this correct?

The first frequency is the receive frequency for the repeater network, that is for the vehicles that transmit. What you want is the repeaters Transmit frequency, which is 463.275Mhz as you've stated, but no the whole number needs to be entered in not just 46327, as that would turn out to be only 463.270Mhz. So something is wrong there.

Secondly I don't know what that frequency is for (yes it does come up as SJA, but its not in the normal allocation for what I know from this document: http://vk6hgr.echidna.id.au/warsug/freq ... /sjawa.pdf ).

I have used 412.575Mhz (Padbury) and 413.125Mhz (City) and 413.375Mhz (Redhill) so try them. Be aware though SJA is going digital soon (if they haven't already I'm not up to speed on that) and 99% of information is done via data terminal anyway so pretty useless listening.

EDIT: Honestly you can't get any/many useful emergency services listening on that UHF range, you would need a dedicated scanner to at least listen to something like FESA down in the VHF band.

I was reading my manual for my cb for entering different frequencys and it says: The display only indicates to 10 KHZ resolution. The KHZ digit is not displayed, eg 468.425 will display as

46842

Strange though I'm not totally sure on that. Can anyone else shed any light on the spacing?

I just did a scan through all my frequencys and picked up alot, but i couldnt hear anything properly. All i can hear is static and the CB says busy.
