Problem receiving Uniden uh036sx-4 signals with Yaesu VX7-R

Hi,

A lot of my friends in Australia are using the Uniden uh036sx-4 or similar UHF radios. When I am receiving signals with my Yaesu VX7-R I get the volume somehow reduced significantly!? In Norway my friends are using the American motorola UHF talkabout radious which operate on different frequencies. I am reciving from these radios with a much higher volume...

Would any of you have any idea what the problem can be?

Hello,
Check the radio is not set to wideband on the frequencies you are trying to listen to.

I will have a look through the manual to see where I can adjust it. I haven't had the radio for long and the menu is quiet complex:)
