Post by vk6hgr »

Channel 4.

Nice signals here. Idents as PER04.

Nothing comes up on the ACMA site about it though :-)

PER04

Post by vk6hsv »

I Believe A Group is setting up a PER04 the have the repeater etc and are running with 2 anteneas at the moment and plan to setup in the belmont area. They have talked about a diplexer and then using another site though but as you can imagine diplexers are expensive and spending that type of money on CBERs is questionable at times with the majority of loonies on there having a total lack of respect or living in their own little bullshit world of lies and utter bullshit.
Sorry ranting again

yes PER04 is comming soon stay tuned....

PER01

Post by vk6hsv »

PER01 Equipment Has been SOLD and sent to QLD.
This is due to some retard CBERS driving past the Owner/Licencee of the repeaters house and using a paintball gun to shootup his house & car, After providing a FREE service for so long and to be repayed in this fashion who could blame them really.
I understand he is holding the licence though which ensures no more CBERS repeaters can be setup in a 50km radius acording to the ACMA.
Thanks To Adam AKA Jack & Daniel AKA Tonka, (2 Men around 30 years of age) who decided to paintball the owners house & car.

PER08

Post by vk6hsv »

The former PER08 repeater was moved from the site back in April 07 and it is believed that the ACMA are currently taking legal action against the new OWNER of PER08 for moving the repeater to a different location and not filling out the necessary documents and gaining the required approval to do so before going ahead with moving the repeaters location.

PER06/08

Post by vk6hsv »

It is also strongly believed a group is also on the verge of activating another new repeater in the Perth alla PER08 they have all the required equipment and have found a prime location for the new repeater and our now waiting for ACMA approval before commencing operation of their new repeater rumoured to be either PER06 or 08.

I don't know why ACMA bothers with UHF CB.
I had a listen for the 1st time in many years last night to a local chook band repeater.
It consisted of a know it all spruiking technical miss information and want to be DJ's.

Well I think we have had a bit of a bad run over the last 12 months with PER08 and PER01 going off air. I really enjoy CB and will support the new owners with the new repeaters as they come online.

It's good to see that there are some other people giving it a go and trying to keep it alive.

CB is good most of the time, but there are always a certain group of people who like to be idiots. It's a real shame.

And you get to have ACMA over at your place for a cuppa every time you use it too. You don't even need to tell them where you live, since they'll come and find you.

people dont use 000 for social calls so why use PER05 for non-urgent chat

if there was more repeaters there would be less dickheads on each channel because they would spread out ,or like we all saw with PER08 ,but PER03 and PER01 were reasonable , when 8 went down they all went to 3 and 1 then when 2 went down , 3 got hammerd , so the more repeaters the less dick heads ,and the more responsable operators can get on and flush out all the dick heads.

just my $0.02

Agreed. The problem is, when the owners of the CB repeaters hear their 3+ thousand dollar investment being abused by clouds of morons then they ask themselves, "why do I bother?" and the repeater either breaks and is never repaired or they just go and switch the thing off.

yes but as VK6HSV mentiond the owner of PER01 is holding the licence to prevent anyone else putting up a repeater , if he doesnt want to keep channel one up , thats his problem , but he should move over and let some one else "bother"
