New to CB's

Hey Guys,

I got me a Motorola GP339 CB Portable - I have absolutley no idea how to get started or anything, any ideas???

It's not a CB. You've got yourself a commercial two-way radio, so you'll need to get it programmed by a Motorola dealer.

It's not a CB. You've got yourself a commercial two-way radio, so you'll need to get it programmed by a Motorola dealer.
:oops: :oops: Ohh ok woops - sorry - I should have researched before saying CB

Are there any channels normal people use for a chat - like you Gav and others???

Totally depends on the frequency range of the actual radio you have. If it covers 477Mhz then it can be programmed for CB, otherwise it could be set for receive-only on amateur or commercial channels. Again, they're only programmable by dealers...

Well, not officially, anyway. In my experience moto have told me to go away and see a dealer. :(

Well ok - as you all know - Fly has left the state :roll: and need some help to track down a manual for this 2way - as well as someone to help me program it properly....can anyone assist?
