477.0250

Post by Ozfisho »

Hi guys, I work up at Karara in the midwest, about 70ks east of Morawa. Our site allocated frequency for our business is UHF 25 (477.0250) and we get a lot of sell call type tones happening every day, this morning (Friday 5th Sep) between 07:00 and 08:00 we heard it near on a dozen times. Is there a repeater out this neck of the woods that the farmers utilise? I've not seen it on any official lists.

Cheers

Any jobs up there? I'll have a look at the ACMA site.

Well since its a CB frequency it could be anyone in the area as its not restricted to certain people. It's possible that someone has a base station of some sort that is making all the transmissions and most likely isn't listed anywhere. Especially on channel 25 that isn't a repeater channel. Looking at the ACMA database won't bring anything up as its already a CB allocated range.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Not many people out here, so I don't know if it's a base. I've emailed the AMCA to see if they can shine any light on this. An no Reevesy, too much cost cutting going on.

ACMA would say what I just said I'd imagine.
