Plane Tracking

Post by Blinky »

I have not seen this mentioned before. I stumbled on a website the other day and have been spending some time on it lately.

http://www.planefinder.net

I had seen http://www.flightradar24.com before but as it did not show any WA air traffic I did not look at it often.

Listening to Perth ATC live feeds or if you are in Perth listening on the scanner and watching Planefinder.com brings it alive.

Hi Blinky,

I use the Plane Finder app on my I-Phone and find it great. It's handy to know what is flying overhead!

Cheers.

I saw that too but not bothered (yet) to download it. Who knows, might come in useful one day for something like aircraft enhanced propagation or aircraft scatter on the West Coast.

I have it on my windows HTC phone.

However this only tracks ADS-B equipped aircraft, such is why you only see a few skywest aircraft FSQ FNU are fitted, you also wont see Qantas 767's
