Perth Movements April May June

Post by Boeta »

An Air China 747-400 carrying a VVIP arrived at the International bay 50, about 20:00 local 5th April, under tight security.

Believed to be carrying an extremely important Chinese government official. Aircraft will be here until the 7th when it departs at 0800L

Rare to see a 747-400 in these parts... :D

was it 0800 this morning, or 2000 last night that it arrived?

2000, as it was there at 0600 today.

B-2472 B744 as CCA003 from Yangon, to Canberra on the 7th

Also arriving this morning around 0730 (was driving under it as it went over the fence) 9V-SFM B747-412F from Cape Town as Sincargo 7343 with Cirque Du Soleil cargos

No 2000 local
the only reason I said it was here at 0600, is to back up my statement about it arriving at 20:00 local

Is 06/24 being used because of the works being done? I suddenly have aircraft going over work on a left turn departing 24.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

That'd be Mr Jia Quinglin, according to this article in The West:

An awesome sight as well! However I heard SQ Cargo were none to pleased when the aircraft got stuck here due to the main rwy closure at 0900L. 03/21 doesn't reopen until 2000L ... I wonder who will get the bill?? ;)

Think they will just have to bite their tongue on this one, its published in the Method of Works (MOW) and the AIP SUP, and the Perth NOTAMS.

If they wanted to get back out, they should have landed earlier than 0730, going to take more than 1.5 hours to turn around a freighter.

Not sure if its a exceptional movement but I've not seen them here recently... Cargolux are operating a 747-400F due in to PER this afternoon (13/04) about 16:25L. Coming in from LUX via DXB then going out to PVG at 19:25L with a load of cars reportedly.

Emirates A380 - A6-EDA dropped in a couple of hours ago due to a medical diversion operating EK412 DXB - SYD. Arrived at 02:45 local.

Incredibly quiet for the size of the beast!

The A380's are an awesome feat of an aircraft, however, having flown them as a fare paying passenger [and not] I would have a 747 or a 777 anyday!
I've closed the door!
