Still unknown why it was cancelled, but the aircraft had taken off and turned back

Repaired? Do you not mean for a heavy maintenance check?

It would be a Heavy Check

How ever the F50's go up there all the time, i dont feel this is note worthy...

I concur with AO11912 that the FK50's go up to Singapore every so often for heavy checks. Does anyone know if Skywest has the capability of doing their own heavy checks and this is simply an overflow of work to a contracted third party?

I do believe XR have the capabilities of the FK100 / F50 to do up to C Checks, but are completely unsure about the Heavy D Checks. If you can ask about the FK100/50's that will be great.

The Airbus A320 I know is done by JHS

Fog has caused chaos this morning at the airport.

Im working on XR - we had 1 plane leave this morning (5.30am departure), but then the fog set in - 40+ aircraft waiting for clearance to go all up. we have multiple on the ground sitting on bay waiting for clearance to go.

Fun fun fun

Ok, Skywest F50 and F100's can and have had heavy maintenance checks done here in Perth. Skywest simply do not have the engineers to carry out such a check here in Perth, thus that is why the aircraft go to Singapore. They have for the past 3 and a bit years.

D checks are only for Boeing and airbus large aircraft, all the smaller aircraft have C checks.
