Anyone know what Hf freqs are used by Perth International, or any other Airpots in Australia ?

Most HF frequencies are used by airlines not airports so you might have some luck searching through the ACMA database for listings owned by particular airlines. (if the frequency is registered here)

The best place to look is in a document called Enroute Supplement Australia (ERSA) which you can view as an 'indexed PDF' on the Airservices Australia website at www.airservices.gov.au.
There's a lot of communications-related information in it, including the HF frequencies for domestic and international traffic.

Now that it's more sensible time of the day (see my previous post), there is still aviation activity on HF. If you've got a good HR receiver and antenna, your best bet is the international traffic - domestic air routes are well covered by VHF these days. Check out Brisbance centre's frequencies at http://www.airservices.gov.au/publicati ... n-2006.pdf
the HF frequencies are listed last. Try the 'SEA-3' internationals. 11396 has been good for me in the past.

USB: almost all HF radio 'utility' voice communications are in USB. Depending on which radio you have and how it displays frequencies when you switch to USB, the actual frequency to tune to would be 11397.4 (frequency plus 1.4 khz).
Try 8879 (8880.4 khz) as well. The frequency used depends very much on propogation and atmospheric conditions at the time.

International :
I hear Perth on 5634khz evening and 8879khz
Daytime on 11396khz and 13306khz
and domestic on 6565khz 24 hours
3461khz at night and 8822Khz daytime.
Also hear heaps of international airports and planes on various frequencies early morning and evening including say Nairobi and Mogadishu on 11300Khz at 0400 utc.
