A helicopter was following a China Southern Grob along a runway and taxi-ways this morning at Jandakot. Most likely was doing some filming.

Polair 61 is currently in the helicopter training area at Jandakot. They appear to be doing hovering / sling operation training.

17:30 Yesterday, A red and white helicopter hovering and doing laps. I'm guessing over Albany hwy, Spencer Rd area in Thornlie. I was in Canning vale and it was pretty close.

Had the scanner out but couldn't make heads or tails of it..

Any know what it was doing?

Are you sure? Not to question your judgement, but there isnt any PC-3's in or around Perth that I know of and did check with an AirForce mate of mine.

not being sarcastic: but there are no F/A 18s in perth either... yet there will be one flying around at the V8s

According to Wikipedia (just because it is always reliable) the RAAF have 18 AP-3C and 1 P-3C...

And they do get around..

I really should have made my post easier to understand then Nafenn. From the current sources is that there is no PC-3 at Perth, or even visiting at the moment that we are aware.

But... they can always slip under the radar

There is an anti-submarine warfare exercise involving the AP-3C happening off Perth at the moment:
