Spot on Steve, definitely some AP-3C activity and also quite a few RAN Seahawk and RNZN Seasprite movements too.

It's been really interesting searching 225-400mhz, at all hours of the day and night.

50khz or 100khz will do the job. If you want to avoid various data and radionavigation signals, and your scanner does 'chain search', program five search banks:

230-267
273-312
315-322
335-387
390-400

...and be patient! remember these are AM, too - your scanner might default to FM.

Yeah, right that's a 2009 build!

What I meant was it's a new EMS helicopter operation for the Pilbara, which was mentioned earlier in this topic.

Spotted Westpac, R65 and (I think) Polair choppers buzzing around Swanbourne and nearby coastal suburbs this arvo. Something happening?

Firebombers 610 and 608 just departed jandakot (via Fremantle), no further details
