I guess this is an aviation sighting. Spotted 16 paratroopers over Swanbourne today at 12.30 Of course my camera was elsewhere.

Two Dromaders left YPJT today at around 1400: Bomber 607 and 608, outbound Via Fremantle Golf Course, heading north (approx 11 miles north of freo i beleive)

From where I saw it (outside the library at Curtin University) it appeared to be a C-17. Was definitely big, grey and noisy enough to be! As it was still upwind when I saw it, and I lost sight due to trees, I'm not sure as to which direction it departed in.
Cheers,
Sarah

Re: January, February, March 2009 Sightings
Seen over Perth this afternoon would have been about twenty aircraft (PC9s?) in formation

Re: January, February, March 2009 Sightings
That would explain why I heard the RAAF VHF airband frequencies suddenly come to life yesterday afternoon!
Re: January, February, March 2009 Sightings
Also in the paper the other day it mentioned the latest batch of 16 pilots had graduated from 2FTS at Pearce, so I guess that was them.
Re: January, February, March 2009 Sightings
VH-SQR (Learjet 45) seen Departing YPJT approx 1400, putting ZLE and ZLT to shame (China Southern's Citation 2's).

Re: January, February, March 2009 Sightings
Is there going to an April thread?
Until there is, I just saw a 2 engined passenger jet fly very high over Perth.
