looks good. They are also thinking of adding a second runway (making it 03L/R and 21L/R) - i did have a PDF somewhere, but not sure where it is now

The Plans of another parrallel runway were scrapped long ago, due to buildings south of the Terminal on Federal land. East of the tower, jj

WAC owns all the land that shows up under Perth airport, along Abernethey RD, Tonkin HWY, Great Eastern HWY, and Kalamanda Rd, its called the Perth Airport Estate, people like Coles, Woolworths, Toll, Cummins and any one else building on the estate, are looked after by WAC, and are tennants of the property, the Parraell runway is still in the draft for the ultimate plan for the year 2024.

PERTH AIRPORT ESTATE LAND MAP

PERTH AIRPORT MASTER PLAN

2024 ULTIMATE DEVELOPMENT

The last 2 UBD's i have brought have shown the runways numbered as 03L/21R

Virgin Blue start their 1st Bali flight on Thursday 27th, we had Aerocare snooping around our baggage make up area Yesterday.

Terminal WA will be built, then they will extend the Existing INTL terminal further to the north, continuing with the Horse Shoe shape, and adding a finger type extension to the north, after that is built they will upgrade the existing terminal, with more freindlier ways to access the aero bridges, rather than the cattle race they have now :P

This infomation i collected, when i was visiting a mate in the airport controll centre a few weeks ago.

Numloxx, do you know which airlines are going to move to terminal WA?

Looking at the draft plan again, and doing some reading, seams the Terminal WA will be set up to accomadate, Qantas 717's and 737's, Virgin's 737's and E190's, Skywest's F50's and F100's and Ozjets's 737

My Guess is that it will be for every one operating Regional, I think, and dont quote me on this one, when i was in the ACC people like Skippers, Nat Jet may use the old Domestic Terminals, Like i said Dont Quote me on that one.

Nobody at this stage.
WAC wants to charge too much for it, and the facility will not be big enough for everybody's requirements.
The terminal is designed for x passengers per hour, and that x is about the same as what NJS does on peak times during the week. Just imagine NJS, Skippers, Maroomba, Skywest, Virgin and Qantas all at the same time?
Then you have the issue of aircraft parking.
20 bays, with another 16 or so stand off bays. All the above airlines have 80 aircraft. Where are the rest going to park?

Dont you guys over at NAT JET have enough issues with parking over there any way, some of your BAE's aye lined up on pavement

In fact, recently i have noticed alot of aircraft parking issues, around 4pm at the INTL terminal all 5 bays are taken and Gurda was waiting on Taxi way Tango

Same thing at QF Domestic, saw to 767's waiting on the taxi ways after landing for over 20 mins each

These plans don't even reflect the new changes up to 2008 that are there now. There must be some later ones somewhere.

But then I suppose the quote "The new Airbus A380 aircraft is expected to be in service by the year 2006" should highlight how up to date they are.

Isn't there an official rumour that's being planned?

It's hardly a rumour.
The consolidated terminal has been in the plans for 10-20 years.

Like everything, it'll take years for anything to happen.
WAC needs to pull their thumb out, they wouldn't have done anything if Alan Carpenter hadn't taken them out in the speech at Parliament.
