If you read the ATSB Prelim findings you will see that the media is only building this up to sensationalise this story. The Radio signals from Exmouth has NOTHING to do with this event. It was not a primary suspect in the investigation.

The media are full of lies and only want do this to make ratings.

Read it for yourself, and ignore the rubbish that the media report!

I agree with Carsten, the media have already quoted this claim some weeks back, 90% chance it was just wind sheer, other wise it would have falled for longer period. jj
Media ch 10 are plastering the news with that the Aviation authority say its a big possibility that the base caused the computers to crash,,,,,grrr jj

Fair play guys, complaining about ridiculous generalisations or inaccurate reporting by "the media" is a generalisation in itself ;)

"The Media" is a bit too broad a category and tars everyone who works in that industry with the same brush.

Having said that, the news outlets that have chosen to put a certain spin to get more viewers or sell more papers deserve to be chastised ;)
