Re: VB's New Embraer Jets
Total payload.
Pax + Bags + Cargo, and the holds in the Em190's are smaller compared to the 146/RJ70's. They'll bulk out quicker than we do, with it comes to foam eskies and oversized baggage that the CCK/XCH pax bring with them.
I will watch this with great interest in April

Re: VB's New Embraer Jets
The E190 struggles to carry much baggage let alone Freight
The only benifit of the E190 is the direct flight, its Freight capicty is way down on the RJ70, There is alot of Freight that goes out to XCH
In the passenger cabin, they split it up with Freight and Pax, and they do this on the F100 aswell
By using Seat packs, they can place freight on the seats, with out causing dabage to the materal of the seat.
Sometimes the Alliance F100's go out 100% freight only and no passengers, all the seats have freight on them.

I was also under the impression that Stratigic were going to do this route with one of their 3 A320's they plan to base here in perth, which will take over the oz jet Derby route.

XCH has had a few Herc's taking 15,000kg per trip the past few weeks. Thank god I didn't have to deal with that type of loadAO11912 wrote: Sometimes the Alliance F100's go out 100% freight only and no passengers, all the seats have freight on them.

Norfolk air took a 733 out there yesterday, it seems any one and evey one is trying to get in on the money action

Re: VB's New Embraer Jets
As i mentioned earlier ...
Good to see Our Airline picking up some ad-hoc charter work
Must be well worth it - to have one of their 733 over in the west and out of their normal network

Re: VB's New Embraer Jets
Why do they use a foreign airline when they can get an australian company? saying that Alliance or Skywest could have easily picked it up in their FK100, why ferry and aircraft from the east coast??
I've closed the door!

Re: VB's New Embraer Jets
All about the mighty $$$$
Our airline is a aussie registered company and i also beleive they have a major office (maybe even head office - or close to it) in Australia
