Numloxx dont understand your comment.....numloxx wrote:They can carry stuff all in bags and cargo, so they'll end up using 737's for it.written_ficton wrote:Perth - Karratha / Newman & Broome
Heard they put in the contract to run to the coco's islands aswell
Though the EMB decision wasn't wise, either 737-600's or turboprops

Today we sent up 2600kg of cargo, and about the same in baggage, on 2 flights. Not including the weight of the pax either.
Wow that is a huge load, next they will be weighing the pax, thats been done before on SAA, jj

Re: VB's New Embraer Jets
They would be MZFW, MRPW and MTOW restricted.
MZFW = Max Zero Fuel Weight, weight of the aircraft, crew, pax, bags cargo, catering everything except for fuel.
Each aircraft has its own MZFW limit.
MRMP = (Also MBRW Max Brakes Release Wt) Max Ramp Weight = Weight of everything on the aircraft, as above, plus fuel, just before engine start.
MTOW = Weight of aircraft after start up and taxi to the runway, just before take off.
The 2 variables are Fuel uplift and Fuel Burn. The burn will generally stay the same, but might vary a bit, and they basically take as much fuel as they can before exceeding the Max Ramp, TOW, and Max Landing weights.
MLDW = Weight of the aircraft for landing.
So it's a big juggling act. Each aircraft is different and you need to know all the values to know what the max fuel and payload uplifts are.
Hope this helps.

It's sarcasm, one of the lowest forms of humornumloxx wrote:They would be MZFW, MRPW and MTOW restricted.

Wasnt meant, what I mean or should have said is that SAA wouldnt have any issues loading up with full pax / cargo for the JNB - PER route.spartacus wrote:written_ficton wrote: Are you sure?
