DJ1721 (VH-ZPH - an Embraer 190) had a bird strike after takeoff this morning. Returned to the bay. Aircraft sustained "minor" engine damage (a couple of bent fan blades), but landed with both engines opperational.

This morning around 7:30 local rwy 06 at Perth was closed due to FOD and pavement damage

the FOD was probably blown over from the Construction site behind bays 19 - 21

Apparantley, 13:30 - a Mooney experienced some trouble and made an emergency landing at Jandakot - New reports say it crashed landed. No injuries known.

Aussie 451 declaring PAN

Just heard 'Aussie 451' declare PAN on 133.9 due to number 1 engine failure. Currently tracking direct to Pearce. Bit of interesting listening for a Friday morning!

Was something with 2 engines, not sure exactly what though. Made it safely back to Pearce with services required when it landed. Last I heard they were in contact with Pearce approach at 5000ft.

How sure are you, it may be in Qantas Link colours, however However Cobham have the contract to provide the staff and Engineering for the 717 Fleet, so therefore WF is right, it is Cobhams problematic Aircraft
