Good afternoon John

Thank you for your enquiry.

The frequency for the Red Bull Air Race has not been published as yet. However, for your info, Racwa will once again be hosting an information evening for members for the Red Bull Air Race.

This event will take place at the Club on Tuesday October 28th beginning at 1700 hrs. As with previous years we will have the opportunity to see the race aeroplanes up close, meet the pilots and organisers, get an understanding of the airspace restrictions and socialise at the Club.

The Red Bull Air Race Information Evening is being sponsored by Eventscorp Western Australia.

The program for the evening is as follows

1700 Static display on front apron
Entertainment in bar area upstairs

1730 Red Bull aircraft arrive
Red Bull helicopter arrives

1800 Formal Briefing commences

1830 Meet and greet Air Race participants
Entertainment and light refreshments

2000 Event Close

Best Regards

BORING!
they do actually transmit some things over there from the tower, such as:

"Number 99 Michael, Clear into the Track, Smoke on"
"Number 27 Nicholas, Proceed to Hold 3"
"Number 2 Kirby, 1 minute 18.22 seconds no penalties"

From memory, i think that is prerecorded/delayed in some instances because last year i was seated next to a very noisy group which had a FM Radio with a commentary. There was a delay of about twenty seconds from the time i heard it in my ear ( :) ) to the time it was played on the FM cometary. 3

I wonder if WAPOL will lose WT604 this year? :(

I meant the commentary is boring... Much more interesting to listen to the Airband Freq's if you can...

it is FM radio Procedure to delay all transmitions by about 20 seconds, incase something goes wrong (eg: something is said that shouldent be), they have time to kill the transmition.
