Re: Army/Airforce
The only chopper I saw over Swanbourne today didn't leave from there and was quite high. I was outside all arvo. Dunno what you saw. I did see a fixed wing doing aerobatics though... barrel rolls etc.jasonjag wrote:Spotted traveling from Swanborne to Pearce direction a chopper, looked dark colour. 1314

It was loud that drew my attention and did not appear to be R65, as I would say that is louder, but looked like a Black Hawk, from my location it would have been possibly over Balcatta Duncraig, so hard to tell at that distance.

sighting
I know this is not an aircraft, but though some one may be interested in what I saw last night and may also have seen it at 2215. possible space junk, almost vertical down, looking in direction of Perth AP, extremely bright green, large, fast and still visible till it must have hit the ground as it went behind a 50-70 ft high tree 30 mtrs away, distance ? could been 10 - 1000 klms away.
Re: sighting
Or could have been the drink. Apparently more than 4 a day is binge drinking now.jasonjag wrote:I know this is not an aircraft, but though some one may be interested in what I saw last night and may also have seen it at 2215. possible space junk, almost vertical down, looking in direction of Perth AP, extremely bright green, large, fast and still visible till it must have hit the ground as it went behind a 50-70 ft high tree 30 mtrs away, distance ? could been 10 - 1000 klms away.
Looking in direction of Perth AP - where were you standing? (or lying)

Mmm...don't know what area you were in but there has been a black chopper hovering over Mt. Lawley area twice a day lately...jasonjag wrote:from my location it would have been possibly over Balcatta Duncraig, so hard to tell at that distance.
Apparently it's hired by Main Roads for traffic survey.

Does not have to be, it was a sighting of a flying object, stop your picking and being the know-all.
