Got "lasered" tonight flying just north of Byford

Took off from Perth airport just after 6pm and headed south, got hit from a laser in the Wungong region, just north of Byford.

Pin pointed it down to an area of Mitchell St and South Western Hwy.

Notified Perth ATC.

Anyone here of it on the scanners?

No but I hope they nuke the idiots.

It's twits like them that make people who have a valid reason for having lasers (eg astronomers, science teachers etc) having limited access or not being able to access them at all.

All we can hope is that it may be a repeat offender or know to Police. 45 seconds of being Lasered was a real pain in the butt. It's not like we can move around in tight airspace like that either.

I was driving over the Narrows on freeway south when I seen the street signs being lit up with a huge green laser. I searched the area for the source but couldnt find it. Im a pilot myself and I understand the dangers of this stupid stunt these idiots pull, so I wasmt happy when I didnt find the source.
