I like your suggestion there Jasonj - not a bad idea at all - Sometimes you'll find larger aircraft up that way are either for traffic seperation from other a/c or they are coming in from the North West parts... I.e - Singapore etc..

PS. are we going to have a aircraft observations STICKY?

Swanbourne guys are up north atm, so unsure of what is happening in Kalgoorlie - must be for the army cadets who are out there at the moment

Are you sure it was SAS and not regular troops or Paratroops?

The Blackhawks aren't SAS, but they are working with them (or were) on an exercise.

I could see it from work - was wondering why there was a black helicopter scooting around!

I have videos of Blackhawks flying VERY low over my house. I live right next the Swanbourne S.A.S barracks and my house is directly under their flight path.

If I'm allowed to link you to another forum where i've posted the videos I'll gladly show you.

Just link to the URL of the videos.
Did you get any video of SAS rappelling from the choppers? I got a couple of pics of that but they were pretty crappy.

That's a pretty good location to get pics. Is it in the married patch or up near Narla Rd area?
