Iron Maiden is flying in tonight/tomorrow morning, was just chatting to best mate that works safety at the airport and he confirmed that it will be due around 02:25. Anyone meeting me there??

Coming in apparently as either callsign Rock and Roll or Iron Maiden. Frequency 120.5

Flight Number was AUE 666.

Correct it was landing sunday morning (today) at 0220 coming from Mumbai but was late and arrived around 5am

Yep, luckily for my contact was notified of all delays so arrived at the airport in time for the landing and a bit...The only one with a scanner...and boy was I popular, would have been more so if it was a transceiver, but then I'm not up for having ACMA and co. coming after me.

Hmmmmm, I did notice someone with what looked like a scanner's antenna sticking out of their pocket ...

Pity we didn't recognise each other at the time - and there I was in my WARSUG shirt as well, which made me stand out from the Iron Maiden-wearing TShirt brigade

haha yep I was at the fence and had the scanner out for approach and taxi in. Had a good chuckle when bruce started chatting with tower about the lovely weather! But then was in my pocket...It'd have been a meeting of the Doug's too...Did you go to the gig, errr last night

I was up on the observation deck to watch the plane come in. And no, I'm not a fan of the band, but my brother has been since his early teens and went to see them play.

bomber you legend, I got some footage of them playing, but I was a bit back and only had my small camera, so the audio is a bit crappy if the volume isn't up loud enough to hear the lyrics...but all the special effects are awesom.
