Practice sessions in the lead up to the Air Race will take place as follows:

Wednesday 31 October
1530-1600 - test flight RB 105 (helicopter)
1600-1715- fly in of Air Race aircrafts to Langley Park

Thursday 1 November
1315 – River closure
1340-1355 - RN 105 training track introduction (helicopter)
1400-1630 - RBAR 1st training session
1700 – River open

Friday 2 November
0915 – River closure
0940-0955 - RB 105 training track introduction (helicopter)
1000-1200 - RBAR 2nd training session
1330-1430 - RBAR 3rd training session
1500-1600 - Compensation training
1630 – River open

Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November 2007 - unlike last
year the race will run over both days with qualifying rounds
on the Saturday and the final taking place on the Sunday.

The following race times are a guide and are subject to
change:

Saturday 3 November
A Pit Lane Walk will be held at the Air Strip on Langley Park with times TBC.
1115 – River closure
1200-1230 RBAR Air show
1230-1300 RBAR pre-show
1300-1345 Qualifying 1
1400-1445 Break and side acts
1445-1600 Fade out and side acts
1630 – River open

Sunday 4 November
0900 – River closure
1000-1040 RBAR Air show
1040-1100 RBAR Pre-show
1100-1140 Elimination
1140-1245 Break and side acts
1245-1320 RBAR – Quarter final
1320-1330 Break and side acts
1330-1345 RBAR – Semi final
1345-1400 Break and side acts
1400-1415 RBAR – Finals
1415-1500 Side acts
1445-1455 Award ceremony
1500-1510 Final side act
1550 – River open

Radio Frequencies to follow, but there are usually 2 tower channels, one for the Langley Park Tower, and the other for the South Perth Tower.


From last year's events, the following frequencies were used:
120.850 and 127.900 for the 2 towers.
Crew Shuttle Buses 162.450

I called the local organisers and they made out as if it's a state secret!

Called CASA, they didn't know. ACMA won't say as the Red Bull people asked them to keep it secret.

Just who do these **** people think they are????

Scanner picked up traffic today on 127.9 and 120.85, as numloxxx has also recently posted on the aviation band topic.

Frequencies have also been confirmed by another friend who went out today to watch the practise.

I'll be out tomorrow Saturday and Sunday.

Police are using primarily channel 38 and 3 and St Johns are using 458.025
