So what do you think is the better antenna out of the Diamond D777 and the RFI GP3? I may be able to get a D777 out of the UK, but by the time it's shipped to me here, it would cost about the same as a GP3.

I got 3 Rfi-GP3 and they are a commercial antennas that is used by the civil avaition authorities and its much better than the Diamond and i also use the Polar dipole for the airbands but i havent put it up.

My employment is not the issue i got asked a question about antennas and i answered it and i do take my hobby very serious thats why i have all those radios and a few more and antennas to cover all the bands with all my antennas and i do monitor the Airbands more than any other band.

Lino you may be interested to know that I found a supplier for the Diamond D777 here in Australia.

Steve I put up 1 of my Diamond-D777 a few weeks ago and it was about 8 metres high and it didnt perform well and i have tried other antennas in the same location and they didnt perform well,I got an area when i it seems to be a dead spot for any antenna,you need to run good coax with the D-777.
