A lot of these are very old frequencies.
121.700 West Airports is actually Perth Ground?
A lot of the airlines are now on the Airport Trunking System. Same as the WAC channels which haven't been used in a while.

I receive Perth ATIS loud and clear in Ballajura. Jandakot is readable. Maybe you need a better antenna.

I would try everything and see how you go, but robbage is right: a good antenna is vital.

Perth Approach 123.6
Perth Departures 118.7
Melbourne Centre 125.2 and 133.9

Being in Beechboro, also try Pearce Tower on 118.3, Pearce Departures on 135.9 and Pearce Centre on 123.3.

The WAC channels are no longer used I think.
They have all moved to the Perth Airport Trunking System.

Hi SmashedXR6T,

Try to give you a bit of info(although dont know much about radios). We do use VHF 131.0
but it is only used for Aircraft Emergencies, and needs to be initiated by the Tower. Usually on short final we will request with the Tower to have the pilot communicate with us on 131.0. Keeps our comm's from holding up Tower or Ground Frequencies.

For other incidents and day to day comm's we use UHF 500.050 P25 if that is right????

We can also link our UHF radios into FESA channels for dual response incidents.

And to top it off we also carry FESA portable radios.

Can get very hectic especially whilst trying to cross runways/taxiways and trying to listen to 2 or 3 different channels.

Hope this info helps..

Hi,

I've been giving my lists a little of a Spring Clean and I remember a little while ago someone posted the frequencies of all the Melbourne Centres around Perth with their approximate geographic area. I've been working from the ERSA, but if anyone can point me to that list, I'll very much appreciate it.

In aviation resources in this forum, 2nd from the bottom, you will see a link to Australian FIR maps, that will show you the frequencies and coverage area.
