MODERATOR EDIT 24/10/2008 - Added secondary ATIS frequencies for Perth and Jandakot, transmitted on the Non Directional Beacon (NDB) Navigation Aid

MODERATOR EDIT 25/01/2010 - Removed secondary ATIS frequency for Perth (NDB was de-commisioned quite some time ago), added "kHz" to the end of Jandakots secondary ATIS frequency, and updated Melbourne Center frequencies and locations

MODERATOR EDIT 14/05/2014 - added Fire tower frequency for Pearce

Just a note for Jandakot. 123.9 is the PAL (pilot activated lighting) frequency and as such you will hear no audio on this. Also the term MBZ is no longer applicable as the airport is now a CTAF.
475.175mhz is the Airport ops frequency. SingOps ( singapore flying college ) can be heard on 129.35 and the RFDS Ops frequency is 129.6
The Nanchang warbirds of Fighter Combat International commonly use 123.45 as do Royal Aero Club Formations during thier sorties.
All aircraft may use 123.45 as an air to air comms channel.

i put in perth departures n perth approach and cant pick them up

What suburb are you in? Maybe your too far away? If you can pick up ATIS on 123.800 then you are close enough to the airport.

You would have better luck picking up Jandakot, or Bunbury

Have a listen, find out and then tell us! We might want to know.

I used to live in Wanneroo, and could pick up Tower and Approach/Departures.

This was by using an exterior antenna which my Dad had rigged up on the roof, but with a decent-sized antenna on your scanner, you should be able to pick them up. Dick Smith Electronics sell antennas of various sizes.
