HF Frequencies
All the freq above are VHF. Where would I find HF freq info?
In this document:
http://www.airservices.gov.au/publicati ... n-2007.pdf
The HF frequencies are a few pages in but it gives you an idea of how they're allocated.

Thanks for your help Steve, I will look into those freq. I am not sure if FlightWatch is what I am after. I just want the freq that int & domestic use when they are en route between cities.
I don't think it is VHF.
I am also after the WAPOL HF freq for country.
(Just bought a Yaesu FRG 8800 and want to play!)

HF isn't used that much for domestic flights these days. VHF ground stations interlinked by satellite and ACARS data links take care of much of the comms over long distances.
For the international flights, look at the 'SP-6', 'SEA-3' and 'INO-1' frequencies. If the 8800 has a memory scan function, set up a few and have it scan them. 11396 has been the most regular one for me in Perth, though due to meteorological factors and time of day, 6556 and the 8 megs frequnces have also been good. It's all about being patient and trying a lot of different frequncies over the course of a day and a night.

I now have a scanner on the main VHF antenna that can receive AM mode. Put a few airport freqs in... Although I can hear them it sounds as though they're all on speed or something - they talk so fast!
