Just been listening (in Bunbury) on 124.900 Melbourne ATC and heard them speaking to 3 possibly 4 aircraft who were using the call signs Romeo 146, 148 and 157.
They were asking, in American accents, for airspace clearance to 40,000 feet!
I assume they are Military. Any ideas on what they were?
Thanks

BAe Hawks maybe? 40,000ft though I know a couple of RAAF F-18’s come down to Pearce for some ‘fun’ regularly. I very much doubt it would be Qantas because they wouldn’t use the call sign Romeo they would use Qantas or QF “QF10 direct to Kalgoorlie requesting clearance to FL40â€youngscanner wrote: ummmmmmmmmmm i think this is qantas coz i picked up this channel the other day and i heard the word qantas about 3 or 4 times
