Perth ATIS

Post by Ashkoort »

I'm new to this and first post and all! hai everyone.
Question i have for you is;
has the Perth airport ATIS been turned off? i've not been able to copy it in nearly a year and a half, on either of my scanners?
or is it being relocated with the new Terminals being built? or have they decided it's redundant and turned it off.
I've tried googling said question and i've found no answers.
thanks!

Sounds OK to me on 123.800 MHz AM. What area are you in?

Duncraig.
I used to be able get it on my scanner (although it was weak in some points. nearby hill had a clear 360 view, from the city to the ocean so i could hear it clearer)
Even if i was near midland or somewhere around there i still couldn't hear it.

When I'm in that area I can't get ATIS either. Definitely running and it's located on top of the international tower http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/assig ... ID=8326375

ATIS is never going to stop its the international standard for current airport information.

If you're wanting to hear whats going on weather wise at perth and can't get the ATIS, try calling 08 9476 8800. This number has the latest ATIS.
